French Immersion Groups + Exams…

Oh la la j’ai l’impression de ne pas avoir écrit un blog depuis… trop longtemps! En réalité, it’s been two and a half months but it feels like une éternité pour moi.

En tous cas, merci beaucoup for your patience! I’m almost back for good so we can almost meet again bientôt… très bientôt! This is just un petit clin d’oeil to let you know I did not forget about you! Five exams to go and we’ll be back on track!

And how could I possibly fail with the help of THIS supervisor?

Also, j’ai reçu beaucoup d’emails enthousiastes so I know you are all eager to resume the weekly French Book Clubs. Know that I am currently thinking of our next options and I will soon be posting new books and dates for the summer, je pense que nous recommencerons officiellement à la fin du mois de juin.

I’ve been silent since March for 2 excellent raisons :

1- French Immersion Groups

I hosted 2 French Immersion groups chez moi à Chartres du 4 au 10 avril, puis du 20 au 26 avril, and I will soon be sharing photos and videos so you can see how much fun we’ve all had (while working hard, évidemment, cela va sans dire). Voici quelques photos ici en attendant the actual blog post.

(Je ne peux pas m’arrêter de rigoler en regardant this last picture : Michelle a soudainement réalisé que son petit sac était un peu moins élégant que les sacs Lancel dans la vitrine… voyez la détresse sur son visage hahaha!)

Once again, proper immersion blog post with photos, activities, videos, etc… to be published après mes examens. I can hardly wait.

2- University exams

Et puis la semaine dernière je suis allée dans la belle ville de Reims (do we have some Champagne fans ici? J’espère que oui!) parce que j’étudie à l’université de Reims Champagne-Ardennes. I study online but, une ou deux fois par an, il faut aller physiquement à l’université pour passer les examens. Je vous avoue que je n’ai pas trop eu le temps de faire la touriste, but I still visited la sublime cathédrale de Reims où j’ai pris quelques photos afin de partager ce moment avec vous :

Voilà c’est tout pour l’instant but it’s been really nice connecting again!
