Five Students max per Book Club!
How does it work?
Every week, I send you homework to help you prepare for our following meeting. The homework helps you understand important details you might otherwise have missed, and allows you to go deeper into the story, deeper into the ideas, how they relate to reality, to our everyday lives.
A thought provoking book is a perfect way to trigger dynamic conversations.
Of course, books, homework, and conversation levels are adapted to each group so you never have to worry it’s going to be trop difficile.
Challenging, oui. Discouraging, non.
All You need to know:
Each book takes 4 classes, spread out over 4 weeks
Each class lasts 1.5 hours
5 students max
A book is divided into 4 parts
Each part corresponds to 1 class
The PDF version of the book is provided
Weekly homework to help you throughout the whole book
And in case you’re wondering what the weekly homework looks like, have a look HERE
How much does it cost?
Each club costs €249 per person
Each group lasts 4 consecutive weeks, each meeting lasts 1.5 hours, so that is a total of 6 hours at $41.5 / hour.
Don’t worry if you have to miss one meeting, each class is recorded and then shared with the group (only the group and no one else of course) so you can watch each class and keep all that was written down during the class.
I keep each group very small (5 people max) for everyone’s enjoyment, which means I often end up turning people away so the fee is not refundable.
This is how we work
Virginie’s French book club is so much fun, and has improved my French exponentially! Although I had taken French lessons over the years at the A1/A2 level, I had never read a book in French. So when I began, I was quite nervous.
My vocabulary improved significantly, and the way Virginie structured the course made it really fun, organized and focused. I’m proud to say that I’ve improved so much I’m now reading current French best-sellers on my own!

I love Virginie’s book clubs.
Pourquoi?
Because they have helped me so much with my Français; with my verbal comprehension, my pronunciation and my understanding of grammar. The books are challenging to read but very fun. And I love all my new book club friends. Highly recommend.

The very best teachers are those that bring laughter and fun to the subject and teach you things you never anticipated learning.
Virginie’s enthusiasm is contagious and her sense of humor and fun make the book club one of the best parts of my week! Learning a foreign language is not only about vocabulary and grammar, but also about culture, colloquialisms and interpretations. Virginie introduced us to a great French author and explained nuances of the book that I would have completely missed had I just read the book on my own.
The environment is relaxed and Virginie is incredibly patient, so I never felt intimidated or nervous. I will definitely be joining again for the next book!
