French Book Club April & May 2026

Notre petit groupe de 5 étudiants et moi just finished our murder mystery French Book Club, et nous faisons maintenant une petite pause de 2 semaines avant d'explorer un nouveau livre starting on April 14th. Here's some information about it :

Amélie Nothomb is always a favorite for our French Book Clubs because her books are elegantly written, demanding yet completely accessible, and often hilarious. It is certainly the case here. This book is so funny it will replace your abs session at the gym. And here you were thinking our French Book Club was only good for your heart and your brain!

From the back cover : "La solitude à deux, tel était le rêve d'Emile et de Juliette. Une maison au fond des bois pour y finir leurs jours, l'un près de l'autre. Etrangement, cette parfaite thébaïde comportait un voisin. Un nommé Palamède Bernardin, qui d'abord est venu se présenter, puis a pris l'habitude de s'incruster chez eux chaque après-midi, de quatre à six heures. Sans dire un mot, ou presque. Et cette présence absurde va peu à peu devenir plus dérangeante pour le couple que toutes les foules du monde…”

The groups are small (5 people max) so you have plenty of opportunity to speak!
