How much do you know about Marie-Antoinette’s Austrian childhood? That she was a bit of a tom boy? That she was a bad student? That all she wanted to do was play? That she had 15 brothers and sisters?
How about that she was never meant to become the Queen of France?! A lot of princesses came to this world with a predestined life, the parents already knowing what King to be to marry in order to build strong political alliances. However, this was not the case of little Marie-Antoinette. At least until 2 VIP decided otherwise… Who are these people you may ask! Answer is in the video! Enjoy!
I hope you loved the video and learned a lot! Next week will be our last Marie-Antoinette episode so stay tuned. We’ll end our theme with the Soirée Marie-Antoinette on October 16th. Here is a quick overview but you can always click here for more info!

JOIN US! I promise I won’t get my guillotine out… By the way, did you know the guillotine was the way to execute people in France until the death penalty was abolished by Président François Mitterrand in 1981? The last person condemned to death in France lost his head in 1977. As the Dr Guillotin described, nothing but “un rapide souffle d’air frais sur la nuque”, a quick breath of fresh air on the back of the neck. Et voilà. Ok I think I just killed the mood.
