One more episode for you of my French interviews with French subtitles!
As you know, I regularly interview unusual and interesting locals here in Pélussin, the little French village where I recently moved to. The goal being to share the French countryside lifestyle with you, while helping you improve your French. When YOU HEAR FRENCH and YOU SEE FRENCH at the same time, miracles start happening! Trust me!
Plus you know that I organize Full French Immersion Weeks here in Pélussin so this is a little preview for you! If you’re interested in joining us HURRY UP we have:
2018 SEPT 10 – 16: Intermediate level (SOLD OUT)
2018 SEPT 24 – 30: Beginner level (4 SPOTS LEFT)
2019 JUL 8 – 14: Intermediate level (8 SPOTS LEFT)
2019 JUL 22 – 28: Beginner level (6 SPOTS LEFT)
And now let me introduce you to the talented and delightful Catherine de Robert, a textile artist who produces such elegant work! She is speaking from Le Moulinage des Rivières, a local coop for artists & artisans, which regularly organizes events like the one you will see in the video & on more pictures at the bottom of this post, under Catherine’s work.
I could keep going because I love Catherine’s work so much but instead I’m going to invite you on her beautiful website where you will discover so much more!
Here’s a great sentence you’ll find there: “Je travaille le fil, les fibres, le textile. Je peins, teins, imprime, couds, noue, brode.”
So many cool French verbs!
See how fun & enriching & exciting learning can be?
And here are a few pictures of Le Moulinage des Rivières, the fabulous cooperative for local (around Pélussin) French artists & artisans, which Catherine represents here.
What a lovely old building and Catherine spoke such beautiful French. I have been involved in co-operatives and found it a satisfying way of life.I have to sieve through the blog to make sure I haven’t missed any references.
Best wishes – Malcolm
Merci Virginie! Elle est charmante et facile a comprendre, meme pour un “intermediate” comme moi. J’espere la recontrer a Pelusin en Septembre.
